Before a trader is listed in TrustATrader’s directory, they must first be vetted by our team to ensure that they meet our standards. As well as two years’ experience and appropriate Public Liability Insurance, each trader needs to prove that they are qualified to do the work that they offer to customers. Once we have checked these basics, we will verify their ID and do an internet search to make sure that thy are reputable. We will also ask for at least five references from former customers. Only when we are completely satisfied that a trader is qualified, insured, reliable and operates to the standards that we demand will we invite them to join our directory and create their TrustATrader profile.

In each trader’s unique Trust A Trader profile you will find details of the work that they can do, as well as a gallery, telephone number and links to email and SMS, which allow you to contact the trader in just one click.

At Trust A Trader, we believe that there is nobody better placed to tell you about the service that you can expect from a trader than someone with first-hand experience. You will see that all of our traders have been awarded a star rating. These are derived from reviewers’ scores across six categories: first impressions; punctuality; quality; value; time keeping; and overall opinion. In addition to the star rating, a brief written review will give you a greater insight into the reviewer’s experience.

You might notice that all of the London carpenters and joiners have been awarded high star ratings. This is because we only allow the best to join us on Trust A Trader.
