Structural Engineers, Building Surveyors, Party Wall Surveyors & UK-wide Subsidence Consultants. We understand a great deal about structural defects and how to resolve them. We are based in Essex but cover the whole of the UK for crack diagnosis structural advice and subsidence investigations. We provide written reports advising on the most suitable repair techniques (including the latest technology) and can put you in touch with appropriate independent contractors. We are not linked or affiliated with any contractors so provide truly impartial and independent advice, including in relation to insurance matters - as we have in house subsidence loss adjusting experience. Many of our clients experience difficulties with their insurers or loss adjusters on subsidence claims, which we are able to resolve through our long experience in this field or work.
With over 35 years’ experience in the industry and offering competitive rates, you can be sure that we have the skill and expertise to help you with your structural problem - be it subsidence or not. We are also members of The Subsidence Forum.
Specialising in the diagnosis of structural building defects including damage caused by the movement of foundations through subsidence and heave, our consultants will be happy to visit you in person or via remote video link and provide written reports on the damage and type of repairs or further investigations required. We can arrange such and provide a Certificate of Structural Adequacy on satisfactory completion of the work.

"Bob was brilliant. I had been losing sleep over our subsidence issue, but Bob put my mind at ease instantly. His professional, calm approach calmed my worries. "Can’t recommend B&S consultants enough! The office team (Natalie) and the surveyor (Bob) were polite, quick, professional, superb value - and gave great advice. We thought we had a major structural problem but Bob calmly explained the issue - and what could be done to put it right. I will definitely use them again and can only think of positive comments to make!"
