"Peter was very responsive and did a great job. He came round same day to make an issue with our roof safe and then was able to fit us in to do the job fully a few days later. The job was done very well and we would use him again."

"I had a very bad experience with HGS. HGS came out to fix a leak around my chimney that was causing my ceiling to be damp. Despite original reassurances that what he was doing would fix my issue, it did not. I had to get the trader back out a number of times (and it was difficult to get him to commit to dates to come back). The issue was never resolved, I still have a very damp ceiling and after the third time, he refused to come out again, saying that he'd done enough. I'm £450 out of pocket and now have to pay for the same job again with someone who can hopefully fix this issue. He did offer me a fraction of the cost back as a gesture of goodwill, but considering the small amount offered, I did not accept that offer. Expensive, poor quality of work and disappointing customer service - I would not recommend this business."
Trader reply: "Thank you for your feedback as it's very important to us. We value your comments as customer service is our priority. We completed your repair in December 2022. As discussed at the time your roof needed a lot of work but you decided to take a cheaper option and just have a repair done. We came back six times and offered you a 50% goodwill gesture. Unfortunately unless you address all the problems you will continue to have problems. Kind Regards HGS Roofing Services"
