"I would agree wholeheartedly with the previous reviewer Alan who could not have put our experience of a full reroofing by Ben and his team at Ace Roofing and Building more accurately. Only to add neighbours locally have,within a couple of days have already requested quotes from Ben and several have commented on how smart the finished job looks and how diligently the workforce performed. "Cannot fault Ace Roofing and Building for their professionalism and enthusiasm in conducting my roof repairs. Ben has a great team of craftsmen that go about their work with gusto and care. Particular praise for Jamie who was on site most of the time and carried out most of the detailed work. Was kept up to date with the developments and progress - turned up on time and were very tidy around the site. They pointed out issues that had to be rectified in an honest and candid manner. Cannot fault them and have had various comments about how good the roof looks. Would definitely recommend them. Wish them well for the future! Alan Hall"

"What started off as a professional, reliable expert in his field has turned into a nightmare. Trader appeared very knowledgeable about his trade and he was quick to send his workers on site to do the job. I received updates and photos to convey the high quality job of fixing my leaking roof. But the guess the proof is in the pudding and low and beyond, the first heavy rainfall we had after the repair, the leak returned……in exactly the same location! I was not concerned at all as the lovely trader promised a 10 yr guarantee on his work and it had been less than 3 weeks since the job was completed. It has now been over 2 months and the trader has still not managed to come over, let alone fix the problem. Communication has been very poor."
Trader reply: "We take pictures to show customers what we have done throughout and also to protect ourselves to ensure that the work we quote for is the work we do. The work was carried out to a high standard and is still all intact. The work was completed over 10 weeks before any complaint was made. In which time we had heavy rain fall and snow. I spoke to the customer and ensured her we will come back to inspect the issues she was having . I offered to come and take a look on a Saturday, but she said she couldn’t do that day and asked if I would come on Sunday . My reply was I do not work on Sundays. I then offered her for me to come the following week however she said she was on holiday that week. I then said to her ok call me on your return and we will arrange to . When she returned she sent a WhatsApp message , at this time my son was having an operation and I must admit I missed the message. I then arranged to go take a look in the Saturday. Once at the property the lady showed me where the leak was and said to me, it’s not in exactly the same place as before , that has stopped but it’s not far away. So I got on the roof to inspect. I found our work to be in perfect order and no issues. However further up the roof I found a tile had slipped out of place which would allow water to come in the property, I replaced ( free of charge) I also found the velux window flashing was full of moss . Again I cleared this free of charge. We cannot be held accountable for new additional leaks that arise elsewhere on your roof. We up hold all guarantees on our work and are always happy to come back and inspect issues."
