Welcome to Able Carpentry.

My name is Richard Freeman and I trade as Able Carpentry. I have over 30 years experience in the trade and can confidently undertake any carpentry work you might have. I pride myself on high standards of workmanship, customer care and a clean and tidy work ethic.

I specialise in 2nd fix carpentry as well as kitchen fitting. Based in Billericay and operating in and around the surrounding areas, I provide a comprehensive service that can covers all of your carpentry and kitchen fitting needs.

I currently work on my own to provide a very high quality service to achieve the best results for my clients. This also allows me to keep my costs to a minimum by only using additional help when the size of the job requires it. I offer free quotes and estimates.

During the time I’ve been working I have built up a small team of quality tradesman who I use on any job which requires their expertise. These trades have not only proved the quality of their workmanship to me but have also shown me that they have the same work ethic as I have, which allows me to maintain the high standards I aim for.

These trades include Electricians (Part P certified), Plumbers (heating specialists & Gas Safe registered), Plasterers, Tilers and Decorators. I liaise between these trades and my clients so there is a seamless transition through the work carried out. This is especially apparent in kitchen fitting where nearly all the trades work in a confined area. I work closely with my tradesman to complete jobs in the shortest time possible to minimise the disruption to the client and return them to a working kitchen.

    "We were looking for someone to fit internal doors and luckily we found Able Carpentry on this website. He offered a brilliant service, advising on doors, purchasing them for us and taking away the old ones, making things very easy. His standard of work is excellent and you could tell he is a perfectionist. He worked long days to get the work done and is a really nice person. We felt his price was very reasonable and would not hesitate to recommend him."
