Fire alarm systems

• Design, installation and commissioning to BS 5839-1 for commercial, communal and mixed-use buildings
• Systems to BS 5839-6 for HMOs, converted flats and residential premises
• Correct category specified for the building and its use — L1 to L5, P1 and P2, or Grades A to F and LD1 to LD3
• Conventional, addressable and wireless systems where cabling is impractical
• Interfacing with door releases, AOVs, lifts, plant and existing panels
• Panel replacement and head-for-head upgrades where a full rewire isn't justified
• Extension and alteration following conversion, refurbishment or change of use

Emergency lighting

• Design, installation and commissioning to BS 5266-1
• Escape route, open area and high-risk task area lighting
• Monthly function and annual duration testing, with results recorded properly
• Self-test and addressable systems where manual testing across a site isn't practical
• Illuminated and photoluminescent signage
• Upgrades to premises where cover has never been designed, only added to

Servicing, testing and maintenance

• Periodic servicing at intervals in line with BS 5839-1 and BS 5266-1
• Fault finding, remedials and call-out attendance
• Support with weekly testing routines and logbook records
• False alarm investigation — detector siting, head type and environment reviewed rather than sensitivity turned down and forgotten
• Certification and documentation in the format insurers, agents and enforcing authorities expect

Town centre, mixed-use and converted buildings

Much of the stock around Enfield Town and Bush Hill Park is retail, hospitality and offices with residential above, alongside houses converted into flats and HMOs.
