"Owen was very helpful and dealt with repairs to a range of different windows in one job. Polite and very accommodating - sorting the windows quickly as we wanted them in place before getting the exterior woodwork redecorated and rearranging his schedule to fit in with limited days when I could be at home."

"He fitted a new stair handrail from parts I purchased from Wickes. He made a far better job that I would have done, including using much stronger fixings than came with the brackets. Now have a super solid and super safe handrail. Punctual, clean job for a good price."

"The photos are self explanatory - he hacked off the corner of 2 doors leaving a big gap and then denied that it was him. Also charged a lot of money for the privelage of leaving my doors like this! Sadly I'm disappointed 😔"

Trader reply: "We were surprised to received your feedback as you had already asked us back to complete additional work to repair and replace a double-glazing Unit. After prices were agreed for the work to be done that's when communication started to break down between us. The doors referred to in the picture are brilliant considering these were second hand. We had to turn them round, add wood to the bottoms, repair the frames, turn handles around, and re cut out the locks and keeps. Throughout the work the customer was trying to do different things like sand a door down we stopped her and supplied her with different equipment and showed her how to do the properly. We also lent jigsaws, sanders etc and showed her how to do that safely. We also gave advice on the fact there was no shut off accessible in their kitchen and that needs attention. Kind Regards Owen The Musketeers."

"Owen showed up at 1pm, then spent 45 minutes smoking and sorting out bits in his van. He then came in and sat down to have a cuppa (most tradesmen take it with them!) He was wearing a heart monitor and spent an age getting ONE door upstairs! I had other tradesmen in the house and he spent most of the afternoon chatting to them, while THEY worked! At 4.45 he said he was done for the day and left. He had managed to put two hinges on one door (5 doors to be done). He left all his power tools plugged in to an extension plug set leading from a bedroom and an inch deep of wood shavings and sawdust all over the landing a bedroom and our office. Our computers were covered in dust, it took several days to clean them as the dust kept settling. The smoke alarm kept going off telling us there was smoke but it was dust! We rang him and told him to get his stuff and go. He then tried to charge us over £1000! and took a hinge we had paid for! Wouldn't recommend him to anyone!!"

Trader reply: "I went and met these customers managed to fit them in at short notice and they accepted the price quoted. They wanted their doors done asap as family were coming over from Ireland, but the doors had to be pre-painted. I gave them a price of £1085 to supply 5 Victorian mid weight doors pre-painted and fit them including door furniture. I also explained that I was still a door short due one door out of stock and was busy trying to source the door. There was other tradesman in the property so it was difficult to work around them with all our tools etc, so had to compromise as best as I could. I also had to move stuff out of the way to carry out work. I am not sure how I set of the fire alarm and the comments made about the mess as I wasn’t the only trader there. There was no sign of problems and the customer seemed fine, next day I was told how expensive the doors were when I showed them I had beaten big manufacturers on price, they then asked me for a settlement for what I had done, the customer settled the invoice for £567.00. I counted out all the hinges in front of Mrs Harvey and fittings they had paid for, no hinges were missing."
