- We sourced a high strength lintel as some of the new ceiling load was going via a ceiling binder above the window.

- One room generated all of this waste. It goes back to be receycled.

- We use acro props to support the gable end of the house whilst the lintel was repaired.

- The plasterwork was stripped back to bare plaster. We then fitted insulated plasterboard to make the room warmer.

- We fitted oversize ceiling timbers to the room for the customer in case they wanted to use the area in future for storage.

- We added 40cm of loft insulation (which is current building standards for a new build)

- Now we are out of summer plaster is taking longer than 3 days to dry. We will leave it circa 1 week before going back to complete the decoration on the house.

- We fitted a new window using the same fenestration style as the previous unit. A new radiator was fitted by our plumber.

David - Image 1 "I’m really pleased with the ramp and entrance work completed for me. David carried out the construction exactly as I asked, and even let me test the ramp part‑way through so we could finalise the concept together. Rob was also collaborative throughout and I appreciated his attention to detail. The finished result is solid, safe, and looks fantastic — exactly what I needed. I’ll happily use them again for future work and definitely recommend them."

"I would recommend swallow hill builders definitely. The two guys turned up when they said , they were approachable friendly and efficient, they did the repointing to a high standard , left everywhere clean and tidy , could not fault them ."

Clair - Image 1 "Had a very old wall repointed and the capping stones that had come loose re-mortared. Very professional and polite. The wall although bricks aren’t great will last quite a few more years until I can afford to have the entire wall rebuilt. Work was very tidy and cleaned up after themselves."
