I am Richard Burke - Local Handyman, a family man from Ilkeston. Having been a Civil Engineer for 12 years, I grew tired of red tape policies surrounding the building site work. I have been in and out of the building trade all my working life and have always done my own renovations and helped friends and family do theirs, from bathrooms to patios and most things in between.

I have experience of working on schools, supermarkets, housing, town halls, colleges, doctors’ surgeries, industrial and retail units, as well as heritage work. Always on time and at a very reasonable price. I am happy to take on most handyman services to people throughout Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

    "We found Richard on Trust-a-trader when looking for someone to help refurbish a house to rent out. Richard came round to have a look and went through everything we asked for. He gave us a reasonable price (not too cheap and not overly expensive). One good thing was that he didn't want anything "up-front" and only charged us after items had been delivered. Communication was excellent and he always told us when he was going in the house, and sent photos of what he was doing. Would we use him again? Absolutely! We just wish he would come up to Yorkshire for our next project!"

    "Absolute life saver we ripped up our bathroom tiles and unknowing to us the floor boards underneath were rotten we had a big hole I called Richard he dropped everything and was here within the hour repaired the floor and even fitted our new flooring which looks amazing cannot recommend Richard enough he is polite, trustworthy and a very good handy man we will definitely be using him again for any jobs we have. Also he is very reasonable priced! He went above and beyond today we are very impressed."
