I am Richard Burke - Local Handyman, a family man from Ilkeston. Having been a Civil Engineer for 12 years, I grew tired of red tape policies surrounding the building site work. I have been in and out of the building trade all my working life and have always done my own renovations and helped friends and family do theirs, from bathrooms to patios and most things in between.
I have experience of working on schools, supermarkets, housing, town halls, colleges, doctors’ surgeries, industrial and retail units, as well as heritage work. Always on time and at a very reasonable price. I am happy to take on most handyman services to people throughout Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

"Absolute life saver we ripped up our bathroom tiles and unknowing to us the floor boards underneath were rotten we had a big hole I called Richard he dropped everything and was here within the hour repaired the floor and even fitted our new flooring which looks amazing cannot recommend Richard enough he is polite, trustworthy and a very good handy man we will definitely be using him again for any jobs we have. Also he is very reasonable priced! He went above and beyond today we are very impressed."

Andres - Image 1 "Richard built us a fantastic bath panel to replace original cracked one along with a couple of other jobs to tidy up our kitchen. His work was of an extremely high standard and the finished result exceeded what I thought would be possible as a very tricky sized bath. Richard was a pleasure to have working in our home - friendly, great communication though out and left everything clean and tidy. Would highly recommend"

"Richard is a conscientious and hard working person who takes a pride both in the quality of his work and in ensuring that his customers are pleased with the outcome. He is easy to get along with and was always punctual from the initial appointment to the work days themselves. His reasonable pricing was pleasingly transparent. Our bill was exactly as originally agreed. The quality of his work was excellent throughout and he was always happy to discuss with us how to achieve the outcome we sought. Equally, before he left, Richard took a pride in ensuring that we were happy both with the work carried out and with the subsequent tidying and cleaning up. The results were excellent on both counts. Therefore, as jobs arise in the future, we would certainly ask Richard to carry out the work, confident that an excellent job will be done."

"Refurbished my door and looks brand new. Also put some shelves up for me. I found Richard to be very polite and nice to chat to while he was working. I would definitely use his handyman services again."
