"The trader attended in December 2025 to inspect and repair a leaking flat garage roof. He recommended applying a liquid coating system, stating it would last up to 5 years. Additional work was agreed, including reinforcing a joist and fitting drip edges. He carried out part of the work (joist reinforcement and applying the liquid coating) and then requested full payment, with the remaining items to be completed on a return visit. I paid in full on that basis. He later returned but did not have the correct equipment to complete the drip edges. Within a few weeks, the roof began leaking again. When I raised this, I was asked for additional payment despite the original work not being completed. After further communication, he agreed to return to rectify the issue, but this did not happen due to repeated delays. A partial refund was eventually agreed, however over a month later no payment has been received despite repeated chasing. Overall, the work was left incomplete and unresolved."

Following your concerns, we promptly revisited the matter, addressed the issues raised, and offered reimbursement as a gesture of goodwill.
