    "One of the more expensive Decorator quotes that I had, wasn't very clear with how much paint etc would cost with F&B.; Was booked for 3 days work, and after finishing at 1pm both days finished it in two days.... on closer inspection of the work it's sadly just been rushed. Water damage in ceiling that he was asked to fix and paint he did, but it's cracked round 3 lights where he's put the lights back in. Found Paint on my unit doors, cooker hood & conservatory door, didn't use proper frog tape for floor so gloss has leaked over my Karndean floor, bits have been missed round door and lines aren't that straight. Sticky floor coverings that are meant for carpet were used on my oak worktops & has stripped back the oil so will need re-oiling,& two holes either side of the cooker that weren't even filled? Such a shame as he seemed a good guy, but the finish is rushed and therefore poor. If I paid £100 for paint I was expecting to keep the large tin of F&B; with only two coats used? Thanks."

    "1. Arrived on time as agreed, he stated it needed more work than he had thought, but he had got on with it, and the painting was overall good standard, he had asked for and been sent pictures of the room he was going to paint, which is what he had based his quote on. 3. Without our permission the trader used a fan throughout the time he was working there. When he arrived the next day he did the same, this was a lot of power used, that we would be paying for, his reasoning was that it was the only way to dry the paint quick enough. 4. When the work was finished , he asked for an extra £50, for what he considers to be a fair price, for the extra work, it was mentioned at all by him at all that he wanted to charge extra. For these reason we would not recommend or use him again."

    Trader reply: "Thank you for your feedback as its very important to us. We value your comments as customer service is our priority. I must apologise for the misunderstanding with the extra works. The plasterer should have done his bit after the electrician. As there was chasing out there was extra labour which I did highlight.I kept this cost down to a minimal and carried on so we could still finish the work in the 2 days allocated.
