"Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the service we received and would not recommend this plumber based on our experience. During the initial call-out, the cause of the leak was not correctly diagnosed, and a part was replaced that did not resolve the issue. When we queried the diagnosis and the associated charges, we were advised that our own assessment of the problem was incorrect. No adjustment was offered to the invoice for the parts and labour relating to the unsuccessful repair."
Trader reply: "Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you're disappointed with your experience. When I attended your property, you had already dismantled one shower valve and identified a leaking cartridge, which was the issue you initially asked me to repair. As I was leaving, you mentioned a second shower with what you believed was the same problem. Given that you had already investigated the first valve, I reasonably understood you had done the same with the second. On inspection, I found the second shower valve had an additional leak that had not been identified. Unfortunately, this required an extra cartridge and additional labour to repair. I appreciate this increased the cost, but identifying a separate fault is not a misdiagnosis of the original issue. I always provide an honest assessment of the work required and only recommend repairs that are necessary."

"From first contact I have found Matt to be extremely professional and punctual. When viewing the job he provided much needed experienced input on what would be possible and kindly provided a list of fittings that would be needed to complete the works. He also reviewed pictures I sent to confirm I had the right stuff. The price was very reasonable and Matt showed up on the arranged day at the arranged time and completed the work well within the expected timescale. I have been very impressed with the quality of the work as well as Matt's positive attitude and respectful approach to working within my home. There are other plumbing jobs to do on the house and i will be giving Matt first refusal."

Lewis - Image 1 "We spent a while gathering quotes and Matt attended to quote. We felt he came out not only the fairest of quotes, but also the most personable and listened to what we needed. We were pleased to press ahead with Matt. Matt was easy to contact and arrange visits, arrived on time and completed the work with accuracy and speed before tiding up and leaving. At the end of both visits he explained clearly what he had done. He fitted the shower tray and piping on the first visit, before we put the walling up and he then came back to fit the shower unit. We were extremely happy with his work and would happily recommend him to anyone who comes across him. Any more plumbing work we have, he will certainly be our go to."
