We are MD Masonry, a repointing and masonry contractor based in North Yorkshire.
We have 18 years' experience delivering repointing and remedial masonry works for period and modern homes across the region. We supply a written quotation, proof of insurance and full certification details for every project so customers know exactly what to expect. Our accreditations include CITB, OCNW and the CAS Apprenticeship Scheme, which support our training and on-site standards.
We specialise in lime repointing and structural repairs that preserve brickwork and prevent future damp and decay. We use crack stitching for cracked wall repairs and thermal imaging alongside damp metre readings to pinpoint damp issues before we recommend remedial work.

"Michael amd his team repointed my 1950's house, this was undertaken over a few weeks owing to the weather and time of year, the team were excellent, clean and tidy (as much as possible with grinding out mortar). Communication was brilliant, letting me know what days/times they would be there etc. Always on time, with significant progress made each day. They've done a fantastic job at a great price, would highly recommend them to anybody."

"We needed the front of our 1912 house repointed and invited several firms to quote. Michael stood out from the start, clearly explaining what needed to be done and how the work would be carried out. His quote was fair, and while we were away during the project, he kept us updated throughout. Repointing is a messy job, but Michael and his team took great care to clean up thoroughly at the end of each day. Our neighbours have commented on how much of a difference the work has made to the appearance of our property. We’re very happy to recommend Michael and MD Masonry to anyone needing similar work."

"MD Masonry did a first-class job re-pointing three sides of the house with lime mortar. I was always updated with progress and had opportunities to input into the finish and to check the work at each stage. If the guys couldn't attend they always let me know before-hand and gave me a solid return date. I would use MD Masonry again and have recommended them for lime-mortar re-pointing."
