I have worked in the roofing profession for approx 38 years. Initially I workd for several roofing companies as a sub-contractor I then decided to form my own company J.W.Scudder Roofing I have trained all of my staff personally and do not use sub-contractors. I take pride that my Son and Stepson are now part of the company and work to a high standard as do all of my employees. "I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result. The roof looks fantastic and the quality of the workmanship is clear to see. This is a genuine family business and it really shows in the way they work and treat their customers. The whole team were friendly, professional, and incredibly hardworking from start to finish. Even on days with patchy rain and difficult weather, they kept going and made sure everything was completed to a high standard. They were reliable, tidy, and always happy to answer questions along the way. It’s rare to find a company that combines skill, professionalism, and great customer service so well. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing roofing work done. A top-class job from a great team."

"JW Scudder installed a nice roof for me a few years ago. Recently had some noise from roof in v. high winds, so called them to investigate, and they found problem straight away (a loose chimney cap) and fixed this within minutes. Great, friendly service & no charge."

"I found John through the NFRC site and what a truly Diamond find he is!! I had a recent not so good experience with another roofing company and John came around to look and quickly pointed out what should have been done and followed up with a very good quote. John fitted a new lead back gutter with 10 year guarantee and replaced broken/missing slates. His work is of exceptional standard with great attention to detail, clean, efficient and provided good communication explaining everything clearly and gave me photos after. I can’t thank John enough and highly recommend him and his company to anyone looking for any roofing work. I will absolutely use them again. Thank you so much John!"
