Consumer feedback

Generated from the text of this trader's consumer reviews

JW Scudder Roofing Ltd (John and his team) comes highly recommended for everything from full reroofs and Victorian slate work to flat-roof felt replacements, loft boarding/insulation, and new fascias, soffits and gutters. Reviewers repeatedly praise John’s clear, daily communication—“updated us everyday in the run-up to and during the work”—and the team’s punctual, respectful approach, with sites left “spotless” and “cleaned up daily”. Customers also value the way problems are diagnosed and resolved quickly, with work backed by guarantees including “prompt” 10-year paperwork.

What Customers Say

Communication & reassurance: Customers describe “super helpful, friendly and professional” service, with John providing “photos after” and “videos and pictures of the work before and after”.
High-quality workmanship & attention to detail: From colour-matching rendering to tiles and recreating a “fish scale” slate layout, the finish is praised as “exceptional” and “to a very high standard.”
Punctual, tidy teams & good value: Reviewers highlight that work is completed to schedule—often within days—while the team is “polite, hard working” and leaves everything “tidy… and removed all the rubbish”.
Trustworthy and reliable diagnosis/aftercare: Whether it’s a loose chimney cap fixed “within minutes” or prompt responses under guarantee, customers feel confident they’re dealing with experts.

I have worked in the roofing profession for approx 30 years. Initially I workd for several roofing companies as a sub-contractor I then decided to form my own company J.W.Scudder Roofing I have trained all of my staff personally and do not use sub-contractors. I take pride that my Son and Stepson are now part of the company and work to a high standard as do all of my employees. J.W.Scudder Roofing Ltd has now become a member of several reputable organizations that only support contractors who are vetted on their workmanship and company history .
