At J Calver & Son we have been providing carpentry and joinery services to customers in Leicestershire for over 30 years. As craftsmen with in-depth knowledge of our trade, we use a combination of traditional and modern methods to help each customer to achieve the finish they desire without compromising on quality.
We believe that all joinery should be done to the highest standards, whether it’s a feature staircase or hanging a door. To this end, we conduct a consultation with each prospective customer so that we can accurately gauge their expectations, desired functionality, timescale and budget. This allows us to advise each customer of the best course of action based on their particular needs and helps us to achieve high rates of customer satisfaction for our bespoke carpentry.

"They were so easy to contact, they came and fitted 5 internal doors up stairs for my parents. Came on the day they said they would and in the time slot they gave us. Got straight on with the job, I can highly highly recommend this farther and son enough. They left and we had and issue with two of the doors, messaged them and the next day they came back out and sorted the issue. My parents are also having the doors down stairs done but cannot be fitted until the new floor has gone down. They have said pop us a message once it’s done and we shall pencil you in. You can tell they take pride in there work. I shall recommend them to everyone I know."

"These guys were bang on. A very short notice job and they made sure they could accommodate me. Turned up when they said they would. After explaining the job required they explained to me how they would do it. Got stuck in and fitted new skirting boards in a very large and odd shaped room. Fairly demanding job but got on with it and finished in less than three hours from start to finish. Very very happy with the job and the guys worked really well. Contact details have been saved for sure. Thanks Guys"

Rachel Willey - Image 1 "From start to finish our experience with Joe and Marie was excellent. They made contact the same day I sent in an initial enquiry a visit arranged for within 48 hours quote followed soon after which was amazing. Joe knows exactly what he was doing and was a mind reader for what we wanted. Renovated our existing staircase and has matched everything so well. We have had lots of people round who love the changes. These guys are amazing and Marie kept in touch with us when there was a delay with supplies so we knew exactly what was happening. Will definitely be using again!"

"Instructed Joe to remove and replace old kitchen which had been in place since the 1980s. Also asked him to fit panelling in the lounge. Joe arranged for a kitchen designer to come and measure up and within a week started to the job. I have used Joe on numerous occasions for various projects and would highly recommend. One of the good guys who actually turns up on time and does what he says he's going to do. All at a fair price. Thanks again Joe."
