I Lock Security are a reliable and established company with over 12 years experience in helping customers with their security and 'lock-out' problems. We serve Bristol, South Gloucester, West Wiltshire, Somerset and North Somerset.
Places such as Malmesbury; Chippenham; Bristol; Taunton; Bridgewater; Chard: Cheddar; Portishead; Thornbury; Keynsham and all the little places and lonely houses in between.
Our mantra is to treat your door and your locks as if they were our own. We specialise in refurbishing UPVC doors so they feel and work like new; and we do the same for your wooden or composite doors.
We have been in business for 12 years, although we have taken a little time out to move from West London to the West Country and refurbish an old Victorian house that we purchased. On our large front door we fitted a handle, to take the strain off the night latch.
We see a lot of night latch locks broken by people opening their door with the small handle / knob on their lock mechanism. Fitting this handle is one easy and convenient thing that we recommend for people that have wooden doors; to extend the life of their lock. Another thing we did was to convert our dead lock to accept a euro cylinder. No more searching for a key at night before we go to bed; we just turn the turner on our 3* cylinder to throw the bolt. Since then we have converted dozens of deadlocks for customers and they all say they are so glad they changed. Another adavantage of this is that the cylinders are easily upgraded.
For UPVC and composite doors, we supply and fit whole locking systems and separate gearboxes. We carry over 25 makes of gearboxes with us on our vans so that we can repair your system on our first visit. If we don't have the part you need, we can get it usually within 24 hours (not including weekends or Bank Holidays). It is our aim to never leave your property vulnerable, even if we don't have the parts we need. We will fit a temporary lock until the new parts arrive.
We will always advise you on how to keep your locks in tip top shape so that they operate smoothly for years to come. We will give you a 6 months guarantee on all parts supplied and fitted by ourselves - this also applies to door furniture, such as handles for example.
We can also supply and fit cylinders and bolts for shop doors and commercial premises and do the same for both metal and wooden gates.
We pride ourselves on fitting the lock you want, and ensure you are happy with the lock and how to use it, before we leave your premises. And of course, like all locksmiths, we offer a "get you in service" in the event that you can't access your property for any reason.
Please call us to discuss your requirements or for free professional, friendly and helpful advice. We look forward to hearing from you.

- This is our City and Guilds certificate. We were one of the first locksmiths to take it. We had been trading for 5 years before this. However someone asked us for a qualification. So we went out and got one.

- Another garage defender. This was a tricky fit as the drive sloped away from the garage. We cut a small channel for the fixing plate as on this model has to be perfectly flat on concrete.

- The customer required an Antique Brass fitting to match the original handles. So we came up with this very nice fitting. If you are wondering why the outside fitting has a "slot". It is to open the door from the outside in an emergency; with a screwdriver, or a coin

- We had a job fitting new bathroom locks in a Victorian house. as you can see it has a "round" bolt fixture and is produced by Union Locks. It is easier to fit than a tradional bolt

- Old updated conservatory doors. Here we had an old pair of doors that would not lock. The problem was the gearbox on the locking system had failed. Although quite rare we found one and within 24 hours had fitted it, along with a new pair of handles. The door on the left was also rebalanced.

- Traditional goes modern. We have replaced a traditional key opening sash lock with a modern euro cylinder sashlock. This house was being rented out to students and as such needed a lock with a turner fitted. This is to comply with fire regulations that say properties of multiple occupancy must have a lock that can be opened with a turn action

- Here we have fitted a EURO cylinder thumb turn cylinder to operate a deadlock on a large Victorian door. The owner found operation the traditional deadlock difficult. Note the outdoor escutcheon is screwed to the interior escutcheon making it impossible to remove or snap the cylinder.
