Howard & Sons are painters, decorators and exterior renovation specialists based in Wilmslow.

We are a family business meeting local needs for over 20 years, carrying out all work with our own staff and no subcontractors. Our motto, "One Good Job Leads to the Next Job", underpins projects across Liverpool, Lancashire, Prestbury, Knutsford, Cheshire, Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Runcorn, Widnes and North Wales, with commercial contracts covered UK‑wide.

We specialise in BS replacement UPVC fascia boards, soffits, cladding, dormers and windows, and offer all gutter systems with repair options and specialist cast gutter repairs. We provide full interior and exterior painting, wallpapering and industrial spray painting, plus exterior masonry weather coatings in various colours with a 20 year guarantee. We also fit Unidry verge caps (maintenance free, various colours) with 20 year guarantees, acripol rubber roof coatings (15 year guarantees) and polycarbonate/fibre glass and bitumen coatings (25 year guarantees).

"I cannot recommend this company enough. The whole team work hard, and do a fantastic job. They turn up when they say they will, they use quality products and they take a great pride in their work. They have just refurbished the exterior of a disheveled property that we have to sell as part of a Probate and they have give it a new life and it looks very smart. We cannot thank them enough and they are a pleasure to deal with."

"We did leave a very good review for this company on 9th August 2026. At the time of payment (we paid for the whole of the work) there was a small job still to do (the painting of the soil pipe at the back of the house) but the paint required was not available at the time. We paid for the whole of the job in good faith. Although we have asked for them to return to complete this small job and also collect their sign, they have not as yet completed the work, which I am finding disappointing. I understand that people are busy and that things can get in the way but it is just a small job."

"Charles and his team did an excellent job decorating the exterior of my house. They replaced the soffit boards, refreshed the Cheshire stone sills, and painted all the windows. The team were punctual, hardworking, and a pleasure to deal with throughout. I’m extremely pleased with the quality of their work and would highly recommend them. If I need any further work carried out in the future, I’ll definitely be using Charles and his team again."

"Had roof work to knock out loose mortar and repoint small valleys. The lads did a great job and completed within the hour. Highly recommended and very efficient as I had fascia boards replacing 2 years ago. Thanks Charles and the lads."
