Zoey - Image 1 "Internal doors fitted, quoted an amount but then came out and quoted a higher amount over three times the original quotation. agreed this due to new door stabilisers needed for the door frame’s as the trader said the door would not hold otherwise, once completed the doors are on wonky, they do not shut. There are gaps between the frames and doors. one door has been put on the wrong way round. On the door stabilisers the wood is cracked due to not being cut to the correct size, one screw used to hold the door on, a hinge missing. One of the new doors broken the trader claims that is this was not their error it was a faulty door, but you can see it has been broken. no offer to replace the door so had to reorder a new door. Sent these photos to the trader and said I was not happy and would like them to come and correct the work, as I had paid before inspecting the doors. The trader said this work is of good standard and would not correct the issues. I would not recommend GS Solutions at all."

Trader reply: "Thank you for your feedback — we appreciate it, as customer satisfaction is a top priority for us. In this case, the customer supplied the doors themselves. When a fault was discovered with one of the doors, they contacted their supplier directly to address the issue. We carried out the installation of the doors as per the original quotation. Any additional costs that arose were due to changes made to the job requirements after the initial quote. These changes were discussed and agreed upon before the additional work was carried out. The customer also requested that we keep costs to a minimum, which included re-using existing door handles. They specifically asked us to replace only half of the doorframe, rather than the entire frame. As we explained at the time, retaining part of an old frame and joining it with new timber can result in small gaps around the edges — an issue that would not occur if the full frame were replaced, as we originally recommended. We completed all agreed work in line with the original quotation. However, there were ongoing requests for additional work to be carried out at no extra cost, which was outside the original scope. While we strive to be flexible and accommodating, we must also ensure fairness and clarity in our pricing. We always aim to deliver work to a high standard and maintain open, transparent communication throughout. We're sorry that this situation led to dissatisfaction, but we believe we acted fairly, professionally, and in good faith at every stage."
