    "I called at 7.40 on a Monday morning about a drain which had obviously been blocked for some time during lock down and was giving off an awful smell right outside our kitchen. Spoke to Andy who set up the appointment. Charlie arrived early which was fantastic and the team called us to let us know well in advance. He knew exactly what the problem was, sorted it, and gave us great advice about how to prevent it recurring. Professional, friendly, prompt and effective. Thank you."

    "The engineer came on time, was really pleasant and well informed, did a great job. We have had 3 separate plumbers in the last 2 years who couldn’t get to the root of this problem - First Response came out really quickly, recognised the problem and had it sorted. Recommend this firm without hesitation."

    "After a very unsatisfactory experience with another drainage company it was an absolute pleasure to deal with FirstResponse. The attending engineer ( Russ ) was extremely helpful and cleared the problem quickly and efficiently at the minimum cost. I would absolutely use this company again and recommend others to do so"

    "Their so called "engineer" tried to unclogged the toilet with a plunger for few minutes and then decided to charge me £760 to do the job! He didn't even tried. I refused straight away called their office and they claimed that they need to remove the toilet and use a Picote and needed to come back on Monday and would charge £156.00 for the visit that would be deducted from the £760! I argued why their "engineer" didn't notice the accessible pipe on the side of the toilet. Promptly they decrease the price to £350+vat. Even then I refuse to pay that amount and the visit charge. Later the same day I called another company and they used a snake, removed few baby wipes, 10 minutes job done for £70+vat. I do not consider them trustworthy and would not recommend this company."

    Trader reply: "Good afternoon We attended this job on Saturday our prices were clearly given to the customer I have listened to the recorded call . When we arrived we did attempt to plunge the toilet and this was not successful. We did see the access point to the side of the toilet however the toilet was full and this would have taken some time. Our engineer explained this to the tenants they correctly said that the land lord was going to make payment the engineer rang the phone number provided and got no answer. As time was getting on the engineer called the office and the office called the number . We were then given a different number by the tenants which eventually got answered at this point we had been onsite for over 1 hour and it didn’t look like we were going to get payment. We have a machine that can be put down the toilet and after assessing the plumbing we decided we did not want to assume responsibility for the installation and we offered to return on Monday . As I am sure you are aware a snake cannot be used to clear a 4 inch pipe and we were onsite for 1 hour 20 minutes, only charged an hour and would have refunded that off the price with the machine - this again was clearly explained by the office. Kind regards"
