Durrant Construction was formed in 2012 by Luke Durrant. Luke has been in the building trade for over 15 years and has had substantial experience in working on a number of domestic and commercial projects. Based in Chelmsford, we cover Essex and all surrounding areas.
Durrant Construction has already built up an excellent reputation. Despite having not advertised previously we remain constantly in demand for our services, "word of mouth" recommendations providing the majority of our work and proving our biggest selling point.
As a company we aim to fulfil our client's wishes as much as we can and are always polite, punctual, tidy, efficient and respectful of those affected by our works. We keep our clients fully informed throughout the contract and are always available to talk and discuss matters should they arise.

All quotations are free and upon agreeing a price the client will receive a fully itemised written quotation, listing their staged payments. No money changes hands until after the 1st stage has been completed. To help you with the planning and design process we are happy to recommend Architects and Engineers. We work with the client and will do as little or as much as requested i.e. structural/groundworks to fully finished and decorated.

"From our initial meeting Durrant were professional and understood what we wanted. They provided a clear quote and payment plan for the project. The work undertaken was completed to a very high standard, all tradesmen were excellent and turned up on time and were exceptionally clean and tidy. We encountered a few complications which were handled by Luke professionally and he helped us resolve these issues in a timely manor. "We are very pleased with the new extension and internal reorganisation carried out by Durrant Construction. Their approach was very professional from start to finish. They provided the best quality, detailed quotation compared with the other three companies invited to quote. They were very reliable always turning up on site on time as promised. When on site they worked well to a high standard which shows in their finished work. Luke was very approachable and helpful throughout the build. "Excellent company and would thoroughly recommend. The team were always here on time whatever the weather (our work started in January) and nothing was ever a problem for them. When we did have a small issue they went above and beyond to sort something that was nothing to do with the job. Very good attention to detail I love my new extension..."

"Couldn’t be happier with Luke and his team. All of his tradesmen have been so hardworking and meticulous. Our extension is exactly what we wanted and the quality of work is exceptional. Luke addressed any issues that arose promptly, involving us in the decisions as appropriate. The project overran but the work was done in the middle of a global pandemic, so that’s not overly surprising! All the guys were considerate and cleared up along the way, meaning minimal disruption to us. Would not hesitate to recommend this company."
