"Requested a fence at the front of my driveway, which required a bush removal, gravel boards and panelled fence. Totally uneven, all the fence posts are at different heights, the fence panels are not level and the end posts are not closed end posts. They refused to rectify unless I paid an additional £400 to put the fence straight. Not happy with the service or attitude of the workmen when asked why the fence wasnt straight. The fact that they were willing to charge me to put it right indicates that it could have and should have been done correctly in the first place."
Trader reply: "Thank you for your comments, customer service is very important to us. We gave the client lots of information and advice and they said we are the professionals; we can make the decision. We then both decided on running the fence up as how the land runs and step it up as we went along. The client then said that they weren’t happy with it and we then reverted to starting the job again and this is what the customer agreed. The client then paid the invoice on completion as we don’t ask for payment up front."
