Attenborough Heating is a father-and-son business based in Beeston, Nottingham. Phil founded the business over 20 years ago after 17 years as an IT analyst — he'd had enough of big business and wanted to get his hands dirty. His son Harry came through the company's own apprenticeship scheme and has been a fully qualified engineer for nine years.
Together with Louis and Jack, both apprenticeship-trained engineers who've been part of the team since they were teenagers, and Jade who handles all bookings and customer contact, we're a small, established team that takes pride in doing the job properly.

What we do:
We look after boilers, heating systems, unvented hot water cylinders, underfloor heating, and smart heating controls. Day to day that means:
— Annual boiler servicing (all makes, £118 inc VAT, water quality test included as standard)
— Boiler repairs and fault diagnosis (£90 + VAT call-out covers diagnosis and any minor repair on the spot)
— Gas fire servicing
— Landlord gas safety certificates (CP12)
— Boiler installation (Baxi preferred, but we install any brand)
— Radiators and towel rails
— Unvented hot water cylinders (G3 qualified)
— Power flushing and system cleaning
— Heating control repairs and diagnostics
— Smart thermostat upgrades (Drayton Wiser preferred)
— Underfloor heating — both installation and fault diagnosis
— General plumbing

What makes us different?
The jobs we enjoy most — and the ones customers often come to us for — are the difficult problems. Boilers that keep locking out with no clear pattern. Heating controls that don't behave the way they should. Underfloor heating that's never quite worked properly. Systems that other engineers have looked at and couldn't solve. Phil's background in IT systems analysis translates directly to methodical fault diagnosis — working through the logic rather than swapping parts and hoping for the best.
We're also particular about how we work in your home. We're friendly and respectful when we arrive, careful with your house, and tidy when we leave. We take all packaging and old equipment with us. We quote before doing any work — no surprises.
