"Repairing our roof required local council approval and traffic management due to the location. Hugh helped to coordinate all of this preparatory work and advised regarding scaffolding. He was courteous and communicated well, explaining the plan for each stage of the repair while being sympathetic to our building and ensuring the correct match of materials used. Not only did he fix our roof but he took an interest in the whole of our building clearing downpipes and all guttering, checking our cellar, clearing and replacing air bricks. The work was completed within our budget which was negotiated initially with Hugh. We are hoping that he will continue to take care of our building and certainly would recommend him."

Pamela - Image 1 2 images Pamela - Image 2 "Unreliable, with many changes of dates for work to be carried out. The workmanship was poor as capping on chimney and fitting of flashing at base of chimney has not stopped the rain leaking in. Chimney breast in loft is now wet and damp patch on bedroom ceiling is extending. The repairs were carried out in just one day and obviously have not been successful. An expensive exercise and trader unresponsive when complaint raised."
Trader reply: "Thank you for your feedback as it's very important to us. We attended property on dates arranged 2 days in total, we repaired the capping on chimney at top, small amount of repointing at top of chimney, the cement fillet at base of chimney is original and did not need replacing only other work on chimney was to lift lead fillet slightly to remove broken slate and redress original lead to slate. We removed ridge tiles cleaned off and rebeded ridge tiles on to roof . A number of slates were replaced in middle of roof.customer advised needed to have reroof due to roofing felt Not doing it’s job holed and hanging down other work was advised to customer in roof space as her extraction fan extracting steam from bathroom to loft space horizontal towards chimney .In my opinion it needed a complete new roof.
