Lead Sheet Association

At Trust A Trader, we work hard to help our customers to find local traders and suppliers that they can trust to deliver on quality and value. In order to be listed in our online directory, traders must pass our vetting process; they must also provide references and reviews from verified customers. Once a trader is registered on Trust A Trader, we make sure that they continue to improve their service by staying abreast of industry changes and regulations, adhere to best practice, and continue to develop their skills and qualifications. One way in which traders can do this is via training and membership with professional, industry-specific organisations, such as the Lead Sheet Association.

The Lead Sheet Association (LSA) is the UK’s leading authority on lead sheet construction. Established, more than 85 years ago, they provide technical guidelines and advice on the design, application and specification of rolled lead sheet for construction use. They provide free technical support and training and CPD to architects, contractors, surveyors and specifiers, promoting the use of lead sheet which has been manufactured to BS EN 12588:2006. The LSA is a leading training provider for people working with lead and other hard metals. People within the industry can access a range of CPD events and courses, available at the LSA training centre in Kent, as well as accredited satellite training centres around the UK. Courses include: City and Guilds 6055 Leadworkers’ Certificate, Specialist Apprenticeship Programmes (SAP) in Lead and Hard Metals, Basic Bossing and Welding, Onsite Assessment and Training (OSAT), Hard Metal Courses (copper, zinc and steel), and Heritage Roof/Lead and Hard Metals Level 3 training.
Choosing a trader can be challenging, but when you choose a contractor who is accredited by the LSA, you know you are choosing a trader that you can trust.
