ARMI (Asbestos Management Removal Institute)

Due to the hazardous nature of asbestos, there are a multitude of strict guidelines which deal with not only how people work with the substance, but its disposal. The ARMI (Asbestos Removal Management Institute) is an industry- leading organisation which promotes effective management of the removal of asbestos.

The ARMI works with three trade associations within the asbestos industry (ARCA, ACAD and the NFDC) to ensure the safe and compliant removal and disposal of the potentially dangerous substance. In order to become a member of the ARMI, organisations and tradesmen must possess specific qualifications in asbestos management and leadership management. In addition, before membership to the ARMI is granted, prospective members must attend an interview to demonstrate their suitability for membership. Once offered a fellowship, membership, or affiliation, members are bound by the ARMI’s legislation and must follow their requirements for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
