What’s your favourite type of project to work on, and why?
Great question! Honestly, the projects I enjoy most are the ones that make us sweat a little - the ones with tricky layouts, tight spaces, or a hundred “uh-oh” moments waiting to happen. Why? Because those are the transformations that bring the biggest smiles at the end (ours included!). There's something deeply satisfying about turning a challenge into a stunning, functional space that our clients fall in love with. Plus, let’s be honest - if everything went perfectly smooth, we might miss the thrill of a good “before-and-after” story!

What really sets Builders Squad apart is that, from day one, our focus has always been crystal clear: the client comes first. Can you share a recent project you’re especially proud of?
Every project we take on is special to us - because behind every kitchen or bathroom transformation is a happy client, and that’s what truly makes us proud of what we do. There’s nothing better than seeing the smile on a customer’s face when they walk into their new space for the first time.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone planning a kitchen renovation?
One piece of advice? Don’t be dazzled by big discounts and flashy "SALE!" signs - kitchens aren’t shoes, you don’t want to regret your purchase after a week! The real value lies in quality: look for solid units (carcasses should be at least 18mm thick, with door fronts between 18–22mm), reliable delivery times, and quick part replacements if anything arrives damaged.
Also, when you're getting quotes, don’t be shy - ask exactly what’s included. Is it just a dry fit, or does it cover the full works - plumbing, electrics, appliance connection, tiling, painting, and so on? The devil is in the details, and a transparent quote can save you a lot of surprise costs down the line.

While we proudly cover all of Greater Manchester and Northern Cheshire - with a skilled team of 11 professionals handling everything from domestic to commercial projects - there’s something special about working in areas like Pendlebury, Swinton, and Eccles. What we enjoy most is the strong sense of community.
