The Old Mill in Aldeburgh was first constructed in 1824 and converted into a domestic property in 1902. With period features including original fireplaces, vaulted ceilings and staggering views, a sympathetic restoration was required to restore the magnificent building to its former glory.
ELC Roofing started working on The Old Mill in 2020 and since then, they have undertaken considerable works. Despite the challenges that the year brought to the industry, the talented team have successfully added slate cladding to the curved windmill wall as well as copper tiling to the finial, making it a real feature. Both of these approaches required considerable talent and time, but will protect The Old Mill from the elements and has infinitely elevated its grandeur while helping it to complement its stunning coastal location.
