TrustATrader recently announced its official support of national charity Friends of the Elderly, in a bid to help fight the loneliness and isolation so many older people experience.
The desire to help make a real difference to the lives of older people is why TrustATrader is supporting Friends of the Elderly’s Be a Friend campaign.
The first event in aid of the partnership will be the Battersea Park fun run on Sunday 18th October. TrustATrader members will be taking part in 5k or 10k runs for this great cause. If you can't manage to get to Battersea or aren't much of a runner, we would still love you to show your support by making a donation - no matter what the size, it all goes towards making the lives of lonely and isolated older people so much happier.
You can make a donation via our Virgin Money Giving or JustGiving pages, send family, friends and customers our way via Facebook or Twitter, or create your own fundraiser to give older people in your area something to smile about!
You could set up a swear jar in the office, organise a pub quiz or climb a mountain and see how much money you can raise!
It's all about helping everyone in our local areas, no matter what their age, feel part of a safe, caring and friendly community. So even if you can't afford to give, please spread the word and remember to be a friend to any older neighbours, for whom a little interaction may make a world of difference.
