Can you paint block paving a different colour?

I have a red and yellow brick block paving driveway but i want it to be grey. Is it possible to paint the existing bricks rather than replace the driveway?

Yes you can, There are a number of different products on the market that can be used to improve the colour of fading pave stones; or to change the colour altogether. You can make the pavers more stain resistant by coating the brick surface with the right paint, Sealing the brick against damage.

We would recommend removing dirt and grime from the brick pavers by using a pressure washer or a long-handled brush. Leave the brick pavers to dry completely for at least one to two days, which is when you can start applying your new paint, usually applied with a roller.

when applying paint to brick pavers, it is recommended to mix 1 part turpentine with 4 parts of paint, as it helps accelerate the drying process. If you are considering a new drive, but feel a lick of paint might do and need some advice, contact local driveway specialists today.
