    Rose - Image 1 "It's difficult to see how good a plaster is until it dries! The plastering was poor in many places. The repair of a small area of skirting board was unfinished. Plastering in some places can't be corrected by sanding or filling which shouldn't be required after a decent plaster job. Bumpy walls in areas; plastering doesn't meet skirting board; lazy plastering resulting in cracked new plaster in one area of ceiling. Frankly I'm going to have to hire a plasterer to see if this job can be corrected with a skim coat. They were informed that plaster was to be painted but if I don't find a plasterer in time, I may have to use heavy 2000 grade lining paper instead. I can only choose one pic but there are many unfortunately. I wouldn't hire again, a basic rushed job and plastering work was unprofessional. Nice guys but I'd prefer someone that could do the job!"

    Trader reply: "Myself, managing director of YSI Ltd, was around to inspect the job the same day it was completed and client was as satisfied as it gets. Few days later client texts me asking for the advice and I quote " We missed a bit when you came around to view the work, I just want to know what I should do about this small area" Never asking us to come back and rectify the issue. I will agree that it's difficult to see quality of work on the wet plaster, hence on completion, we have mentioned many times that plaster will need some filler after it dries out in order to smooth any imperfections. Few days later another text and again, asking what to do, newer requesting to come and rectify the issue, which we would if were asked to do so. From YSI point of view, we have delivered exactly what was asked from us - replaster the room, refit skirtings + other bits. We actually did much more and reinforced entire room with plastic mesh under the paster to avoid further cracking as it was the issue before, in my personal opinion due to train tracks being extremely close to the property and vibrations it creates. In my over 20 years experience in construction, if client is unhappy with our workmanship, one always requests us to come back and sort out whatever the problem is. In this case however we where never asked or had a chance to make things right and the complaint was filed without an opportunity to rectify the issues. Kind Regards Your Space Improvements Ltd"

    "We are first time buyers who took on the task of doing a complete refurb of a dated property including structural changes. We were really anxious because we were tight on budget and quite inexperienced. As luck might have it I found Andris (after speaking to about 6-7 other builders) on trustatrader and I was so impressed that he had gone through our entire requirement sheet in so much detail ahead of our meeting. Andris is the perfect builder to have in your corner when you need guidance but will also try and understand your personal preference. Andris is extremely patient, easy to communicate with and trustworthy. His team is extremely skilled and really nice to interact with. I cannot believe our first ever project was completed on schedule and budget. The quality of work is great too. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Thank you team YSI"

    Hannah Eaton - Image 1 "Following a recommendation we got in touch with Andris. We were impressed from the outset with the qu's asked when quoting, and the transparency of the quote set out. Once we had accepted the quote & agreed a start date, we were blown away by the dedication of the whole team. Maris was on site (in Englefield Green) each day with his team, always so punctual and polite. It was a pleasure having YSI around, and I felt that there was clear comms between everyone at all times. YSI accommodated the limitations that a building project naturally bring, by setting up a temporary kitchen in the playroom & creating an access route to the utility room so that we could function as well as possible with 3 kids throughout. There was also great flexibility as we decided to add on a couple of extra jobs while the project was underway. Even from having 6 weeks of lockdown, once able to return, momentum was maintained and completed without unnecessary delay. We would absolutely recommend YSI."

    Tom Barltrop - Image 1 "After searching for a builder for 3 years in London, I was relieved when a neighbour recommended YSI. They was very easy to deal with and his pricing was fair. We had to close down the site for 2 weeks during the COVID pandemic and they were very understanding at all times. All of their guys are very professional - and the quality of their work is very high (my friends who also work in construction were also very impressed). YSI’s business runs on referrals - and they will not only ensure that you are completely happy with the work - but they also helped me save money on several occasions by suggesting cheaper alternative solutions.
