    Victoria - Image 1 "Jon quoted for cleaning moss off our roof, cleaning gutters, fitting vent tiles and replacing felt. They arrived on time but Jon didn’t stay, leaving the work to his team.Jon arrived back in time to take payment. Unfortunately after they left we realised the gutters were full of moss. They had cleaned the gutters before cleaning the moss off the roof. When the latter was done the moss ended up clogging the gutters and they didn’t remove this. Also one of the vent tiles was incomplete and they left the hedgehogs we’d asked to be removed from our gutters in our brown bin without us knowing. As they are not brown bin waste we had to remove and dispose of them ourselves. Jon and his team eventually came back (after not turning up several times) to clear the gutters and finish the tile vent. Two days later the gutters were overflowing when it rained because the downpipe was still blocked from moss they took off the roof. We have received no response to our email about this."

    Trader reply: "Thank you for your feedback as it's very important to us, although it is completely irrelevant whether I stayed with my team at your property or not, I do have other jobs/work that need to be looked at by myself, which is what happened that day. I arrived back to make sure my team had done the appropriate work which was quoted for, which DID NOT include the removal of the hedgehogs that you put in the bin yourself. We also repaired 2 extra felt repairs... free of charge. You contacted me a couple of weeks later complaining of debris still being in the gutters, so I myself attended your property and on checking the gutters I saw they were clean. At one point you complained of a cobweb being inside one of your existing vents- any roofer would know that a vent cannot be dismantled and/or taken apart to be cleaned which was explained to yourself."

    "I have trust issues when it comes to roofers. Previously I was given astronomical quotes, had macho-cowboys trying to oversell me unnecessary jobs, money-grabbing conmen etc. Initially asked Jon to do my lead flashing in 2022 and was very happy with the result. Then needed help again with some leaks that over the years caused our loft walls to literally crumble due to tiny waterfalls. I was reluctant to get this done as I was suspecting a major quote for a major job. Especially in winter. But I was desperate at this point. Called Jon first. Friendly and approachable, arrived on time and gave me very fair and reasonable quote, he said the job can be done with no unnecessary extras. The team came timely on the day, did clean, good job and Jon was very understanding when it came to the financial part with a mistake on my part. Also, this review is 3 months after the job so I can vouch there was no further leaks or issues. Absolutely phenomenal trader and now my only go to person."

    "We had issues with our roof. Came around and fixed it for he said. Then mentioned it had guarantee and to contact if it's still not fixed. When it rained and roof was not fixed kept missing appointments to come again and was very hard to get hold of. Overall felt the roof was not fixed and then there was no communication."

    Trader reply: "The job was £180 and we stopped the leak. The new leak is in a totally different room which has nothing to do with the existing works."
