Arts Council England has approved the design proposals for a 100,000 square foot arts complex on the site of a former department store in Southampton.
Architects CZWG and Glenn Howells will now move the scheme forward through detailed design stages for developer Grosvenor.
The development is expected to start this autumn, with completion in 2015.
